1979 - Game Parks and Mt. Kilomanjaro, Tanzania - Tour of 3 different game parks and a 5 day hike up Mt. Kilomanjaro.
1981 - Peruvian Highlands, Peru - Visit Inca ruins in and around Cusco. Bad weather messed up hike to Machu Picchu. Visited ruins of Machu Picchu. Hike around Mt. Ausangate.
1983 - Trans-Andean Trek, Peru - Repeated some of 1981 trip touring Cusco. Three week hike to visit the remote Inca ruins of Vitcos and Choqquequirau and ending up hiking to Machu Picchu.
1985 - Everest Base Camp Walk-in, Nepal - Toured Katmandu and then hiked three weeks through the Himalayas to the base of Mt. Everest.
1987 - Everest East Face Trek, Tibet - Toured Beijing China and Lhasa Tibet. Visited many Buddhist monasteries including the Jokong Temple and the Potala Palace. Hiked through the Himalayas to the east face of Mt. Everest.
1988 - Volcanoes of Mexico, Mexico - Two week trip to learn basics of mountaineering and to go up three peaks, Ixtaihautle, Popocatepl and Orizaba.
1989 - Moscow and Mt. Elbrus, Russia - Toured Moscow and attempted to climb Mt. Elbrus, highest peak in Europe.
1990 - Khumbu and Mt. Mera Expedition, Nepal - Repeated some of 1985 trip. Then climbed to the summit of Mt. Mera, a 21,200 foot peak 20 miles due south of Mt. Everest.
1991 - Swiss Alpine Pass Route, Switzerland - 2 week hiking trip through Switzerland.
1992 - Mountains of Ecuador, Ecuador - 2 week mountaineering trip. We only reached 1 of the 3 summits we attempted.
1994 - Towers of Paine, Chile - 2.5 week trek around the Towers of Paine in the Patagonia region of Chile.
1994 - Mt. Shasta Mountaineering Seminar, California - 1 week training seminar on Mt.Shasta. Included an attempt on the summit.
1994 - Angel Falls and Mt. Auyantepui, Venezuela - 2 week trip - 4 days on boats to Angel Falls (highest falls in the world). Then a one week difficult hike to the top of the Tepui the falls come off.
1996 - Trekking the Cordillara Blanca, Peru - 2 week trek in the Cordillara Blanca region of Peru.
1996 - The Makalu Base Camp Trek. Makalu is about 10-15 miles east of Mt. Everest and is the 5th highest peak in the world.
1997 - The Mont Blanc Circuit. France, Italy, Switzerland. 2 weeks hiking around Mont Blanc in the Alps.
1997 - Bryce and Zion National Parks. One week hiking around these national parks.
1998 - The Antarctic. A two week cruise to the Antarctic.
1998 - Morocco. Two weeks hiking through the Atlas mountains of Morocco.
2000 - Carabaya, Peru. Three weeks in Peru. 10 days trekking through some pretty spectacular scenery.
2001 - New Zealand. Two weeks including the Milford Track, "The finest walk in the world."
2003 - Bolivia. 2.5 weeks at Lake Titicaca and the Cordillera Real of Bolivia in the Andes.
2004 - England - Coast to Coast. 2 weeks hiking from the west coast of England to the east coast.
2004 - The John Muir Trail. 2 weeks hiking along the John Muir trail in California including going to the summit of Mt. Whitney.
2006 - Switzerland - The Haute Route. 2 weeks hiking in the French and Swiss alps.
2006 - Slovakia - a two week hiking trip in Slovakia with side trips to Vienna, Kralow and Prague.
2007 - England - Coast to Coast - a two week hiking trip in England going the other direction from the 2004 trip.
2008 - Wales - a 9 day hiking and cultural trip to Northern Wales.
2009 - Spain - a 17 day hiking and cultural trip to Northern Spain.
2012 - American Southwest - a 6 day hiking trip to the American Southwest.
2015 - Death Valley - a 4 day hiking trip to Death Valley.
2016 - Norway - a 11 day hiking trip to Norway.
2017 - Ireland - a 10 day hiking trip to Ireland.
2019 - England - an 8 day hiking trip to the Cotswold region of England.
