One Friday I was out of the office the entire afternoon. As I frequently do, I went in to work for awhile Saturday morning. I was working away, leaned back, glanced at the white board above my desk and saw a drawing of Mallard Fillmore on it.
Mallard Fillmore is a (usually political) comic strip with a fairly conservative viewpoint. I tend more toward the other side of the political spectrum.
Monday I finally found out what the deal was. It turns out that the person who draws the strip lives here in the Columbus area. Someone from our office had helped him out on a night-time mountain bike ride a few days earlier. He then stopped by to drop off an original panel as a thank you. My officemate mentioned my political leanings and he grabbed a pen and draw Mallard.
